My consultancy services are based on many years of experience working in small businesses. I could often be found making IT systems work, order processing, writing content, having customer facing meetings and making the tea all in one day. Having started out, fresh from university, in a very sales driven environment where it was all about the numbers (ignoring whether it was actually possible to deliver the service or products!) my business style is now based on a very ethical, customer focussed model – mixed with some humour, straight talking and common sense.
DigitalJen Brand Blitz
“Doing the brand blitz session with Jenny was the best investment I have made in my business this year”
Dan Adams – Daniel Adams Photography
The DigitalJen Brand Blitz got it’s name from the lovely Ruth Farenga who came to me looking to build a website for her mindfulness business. We spent nearly 3 hours together mapping out exactly what her values were, how we were going to incorporate them into her site, the colour scheme, the journey we wanted her prospective and current clients to have through the site and how she wanted to portray herself (amongst other things!). We created the Mindful Pathway website and have been working together ever since. Her observation that we’d done a ‘proper brand blitz’ is how this area of my consultancy work was named.
The Brand Blitz can be done at any point in the life of a business. Established businesses have come to me when they’ve been considering a change of direction or branding and start up companies have invested in the session to make sure they have a strong understanding of exactly where they want to go next.
A session lasts between 2-3 hours and you will go away with all the notes, ideas, plans and suggestions that we come up with. It costs £200 – contact me to book.
Website Reviews
“Jenny has a real interest in getting to know the business and a knack of making just the right suggestions!”
Clare Suttie – Atlas Translations
Is your website doing what you want it to do? What’s your bounce rate? (Do you know how to find your bounce rate?) Are you speaking to your visitors in a language that they understand?
Website reviews and consultancy tend to involve lots of questions – allowing you to look carefully at what you’re doing and work out what you want to do next. I’ve looked at websites that have been established for several years and those that clients have just built – either themselves or had built for them.
After the review there might be areas that we can help you with (meaning you don’t then have to brief someone else) or we can recommend someone who can help.
“I need an objective opinion” Consultancy
Sometimes you need to talk about your business with someone who understands small businesses but isn’t part of yours. Whether you need to shift some stock, look at your opening hours, review your social media policy or just want someone who can see the pitfalls as well as the opportunities – consultancy is usually from £75/hour in and around St Albans.
